Car Sketches

Malcolm recently acquired an ancient 67? Station Wagon. I'm sorta fascinated by it. Here's some sketches of "UGLY" - again working on moving out of my comfort zone.

Limp Bizkit Illos from the Vault

I was heavy into rap-rock and comics when I first got to Norfolk. So I re-drew lots of the cd covers and imagery contained in them to get a feel for the styles. I was a big L.B. fan for a very long time.

Spiderman, Venom, Deadpool

When I first figured out that the drawing thing was "cool", I decided to draw ALL the things I thought were cool. I would go through comic books and redraw (my way) my favorite poses. These sketches are around 9 years old, but they never got to see anything beyond the flap of the sketch book. If I had a blog then, I would have posted them then. So I'm going to start showing some older stuff for the next few months, whilst I work on my "website".
My fingers are black with conte crayons as I pull this stuff out, but I thought it may be a fun blast from the past.

OBAMA

I'm working on revamping my "Hope" Poster with something more relevant to things happening after the election. This was a really loose sketch based on a poster in my room. He's looking a little like Nathan on Heroes at the moment. I'm working on it.

Baby Cat

I'm working on this image of Baby Cat for my mom and also to display at a few local pet shops (in hopes of boosting Leslie awareness.) After winning some high school art shows with cat pictures I promised myself that I'd draw only people art from now on. I have to admit though, pet pics are still a nice supplemental income.

Fruit Lady
Someone asked me to draw an old-skool art neauveau (sp) type lady carrying fruit for some comic splurp I was working on. I can't remember why, but here she is anyway. Think I'll go back in and color this later.

Illos from the 2001 Sketchbook -

Here's some sketches of me, mom, and larry from my 2001 SB. I was feeling nostalgic last week and decided to dig these books up and start posting some old skool stuff.

Recycled Polar Bears

I drew these for our frozen food theme sales and we didn't end up using them.
So I reworked them with friendship quotes pulled from the four corners of the internet.

Twilight

I'm reading the Twilight Series...so I'm sure these are the first of many Edward Cullen and Bella Swan doodles.

Excuse the mess!

I really did like my "Sleepy-Time-Faux-VanGogh" banner type thing, but it really didn't make much sense for my blog other than I liked it and thought it was pretty. I did that in '99 or 2000 (the banner not the blog). So I thought it was time for a complete revamp featuring amorphous lava-lamp like blots with ponies in them, a superhero me, and still some van-gogh-ey waves to satisfy my inner impressionist.
Bear with me until I get these colors and fonts like I want them. Web endeavors are not for the impatient. :)

Sorta Pancakes..

I say sorta because this Pancakes looks a little mischievous or has been bitten by one of the vampires from 30 Days of Night.

Shorty's evil doppleganger..

Shorty is supposed to be in a clothes basket, but b/c it's late in the day and I'm ready to go home, it's all dark and scribbly.
